Just as with the Digitakt, I wish they’d found a way to increase the number of voices. Four tracks is fine, but only 8 voices feels just a little bit stingy.

I have a hard time imagining Elektron can make something that stands up with the best FM synths, it’s new to them… but i think it will sell well. They already have a bunch of analog gear so you can’t dock them for doing something different. It will have the same GAS possibility as the Blofeld for all the OTB producers (even though of course it’s a lot different).
I have to say i know we basically called this one (synth in a DT form factor) but i’m surprised at how it’s almost identical in design. A little disappointing somehow.
Can’t wait for a more thorough listen to it though to prove me wrong, maybe a sonic lab or long demo.

Elektron boxes are about the sequencer and being able to make music with nothing else. The Blofeld does nothing without at least a keyboard, even though it has a button labelled “Play”
