Electric industrial

I’ve been experimenting with making heavy sounding stuff recently, and stumbled across this, which I think some elektronauts might appreciate.

…nice sounddesign approaches…but man, can’t imagine touring a one man show with such heavy gear that’s nothing but controlers…

i toured a one man project in the 90ies, that had kind of a same concept…called it the “noise tree”…me, hanging in a tree like metal construction, arms, hands, legs, front of my head, back of my head all in reach to dedicated triggers, mics attached everywhere, plus some thick piano wires all over the place, tuned and hardwired to accoustic resonators…puh…six shows…never again… last one was the best, simply because i was aggressively happy to crush and destroy that whole damned heavy contruction thing during the performance finally…industrial full on…but ever since, i stick with the basic rule of techno…what counts first of all, is the sound that comes out of the speakers, all performance comes second…and heavy metal does not mean heavy metal too literally…

That sounds nuts! Any videos?

I can in regards to excitement and performance… but in traveling with a technical show and setup/teardown, international logistics of shipping solid metal, having items fail out and not having time for a proper rehearsal I agree

…that was 29 years ago…all six dates in pretty dark venues…and my noise tree performance was always only a 25 minute opening act…an industrial appetizer, so to say…
audience was not really with me…only on that final show, they really felt it…
and nope, no video footage, that i’m aware of…
