I´ve had a struggle trying to find a good solution for a way to start and stop the sequencer on my Digitakt 1 with a momentary switch pedal while playing my electric bass. I wanted something, that would fit my pedal board.
Since I got frustrated trying to find a working midi setup solution, I decided on a more radical and fun direction: Connecting 6,5mm jack mounts to the back of the physical Play and Stop buttons.
Finding the solder spots was easy (play and stop connections sharpie marked with triangle and square):
Make sure to use jack mounts with plastic casings as it won´t work if you use standard metallic instrument mounts where the jack sleeve gets connected to ground (ion this case the Digitakt´s metal chassis).
