Yausa. I think it’s a good one. Have had the chance to play with beta firmware for a little bit.
And I’m (geekily) amazed on how they can squeeze new functionality out of their existing hardware. Yes, it’s taken a while since we first heard of it. Yes, it sounds awesome. Yes - it’s very flexible considering the already established architecture.
Ehh… Yeah - it’s a new bass/synt/dual VCO machine for the Elektron Analog Rytm. The four lower tracks accesses this. So bass, melodies other worldly percussion. You name it. It could probably be done.
So, watch Cenk talk about it. Listen to the sounds he casually squeezes out of it at a Sonar booth.
I had to wait until 5pm local time to start watching this as I wanted to open a cold beer to accompany it and 5pm seemed a sensible time.
5.01pm and I’m 1 minute into the video, but already halfway down my beer.

This update supports the MKI as well if you were not aware. I’m doing sysex backups of my MKI now before updating it. Damn I can’t wait to have access to the Transfer app now!
