I have an issue when muting/unmuting a large number of internal audio tracks at once. Here’s the deal:
When muting/unmuting a small number of tracks (1-4) in the global mute mode, it works as expected.
When I mute/unmute a large number of tracks (all 8 for example), invariably one or two tracks do not change (different ones each time). When I press the button to mute just the offending track, it again mutes just fine.
The issue does not seem to be with the physical buttons. It seems rather that the DT can’t handle muting or unmuting a large number of tracks at the same instant.
If I stagger the muting in a typing motion, they all mute just fine. I don’t know what to make of this, but it’s getting annoying when a live take is ruined by a mute not taking effect.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I am also hoping that a future update could include the Machinedrum mute behavior in which a mute does not take effect until Function is released. It makes quick changes much easier to manage.
This is my first post, so if I’m posting this in the wrong place, please let me know. Thanks.
This definitely sounds like a bug within your unit if that’s possible. I routinely mute 5-8 track (sometimes more with MIDI tracks) and haven’t experienced this.
I typically mute 5-7 tracks at a time, and I do not have a problem with tracks muting when i need them to.
There are some behaviors that affect how mutes work on the digitakt. For instance if you have the length of a sample set to a really long or inf length the sample will continue to play even after muted. Till it plays itself out.
No, the triggering corresponds properly with the lights. All mutes change reliably in smaller numbers, along with the lights. When muting 7 or 8 tracks, some of them just don’t take effect (nor do the lights change) until I press them again. The offending tracks are different each time.
