yeah the stuff James wrote is so profoundly different from anything was put out at that time and to this day sounds remarkable, also very personal. Ive been learing drexciyan soudn design for about a decade and his work in later years is very unique

Understood for sure. I got into synthesiers mainly because of interest to detect their sound design. Maybe over 10 years ive purchased (and sold) about 40+ synths to get to understanding what is going on
