Does anyone know where you can get the USB Y-splitters as supplied with the Beatstep?

As the title says, I’m looking to buy a couple of the USB Y-splitters that allow you to connect power and data separately to avoid ground loops, as supplied with the Arturia Beatstep Pro - the top left item on this picture:

You can buy a pack with all the cables shown above, but I don’t need any of the others, would just like a couple more splitters for my Roland Boutiques as they seem to do the trick.

Other USB ground loop avoidance solutions also welcome!

No answers, but they have a similar cable that comes with the Keylab that’s designed around USB B connectors that I’d love a stack of.

For almost the price of a Roland boutique:

:scream:

Or if that seems too cheap, there’s this version:

Yeahhhh. The iFi stuff is crazy.

This should work

F**k :joy::joy:

Ah nice, thank you, I’ll look for a U.K. equivalent!

Looks like this is it:

Nice find! Thanks very much, I’ll try it out and report back

Oh man, audiophile USB cables. It’s unbelievable that this nonsense continues into the digital domain where each and every transport protocol has at least builtin error detection to guarantee that no flipping bits get through undetected.

What’s next? Canned audiophile air for WiFi?

@darenager you use a lot of the boutiques, yes? I seem to remember a post of yours that speaks to a solution for USB ground hum. I just can’t find it…

What’s your solution?

Was it this post? Non-isolated USB sourced noise on various synths - definitely seems to be a thing - #27 by darenager

Neater solution if it works without impacting sound quality as it doesn’t require 2 USBs. Weird how some devices suffer from this and others do not, e.g. I have Peak and Hydrasynth connected to the same hub and multi-plug, the Peak is fine but the Hydra has loads of USB noise

Yes that is what I used @tdmusic @d4ydream

Nice, thanks, I will try that!

Edit: actually, reading more people suggest they have audio distortion issues so I will try the Y-splitter first!

I’ve got a pile of those, deployed as-needed, but I’m finding some places where I’m still getting USB-type noise regardless, like it’s getting baked in on the signal side instead of coming through on ground. Need to spend a while tearing stuff apart and confirming, though.

ifi audio idefender+ does it perfectly at around $40 USD.
