Is there a way we can get the DN1 factory patterns on the DN2? I don’t own a DN1, so I can’t just use Transfer to get them over. Is there like an official archive for these I can download the .sysx or something from?
There was a long thread that covered that recently.
It covered all the bases. 3rd party packs. Elektron packs, sysex, .dtprj, transfer.
Thanks for linking that thread. I couldn’t find what I needed in it, although it said to download the factory presets/packs from your Elektron account page – but the only downloads for DN1 there is the firmware.
I’m looking specifically for the factory patterns for the DN1 (I don’t own a DN1), so that I can have them on my DN2.
DN1 preset packs I’ve downloaded in .sysx don’t work and I’ve tried what folks have mentioned here (restarting devices; set to sysx receive in a blank bank, also not doing that and just transferring; etc. midi+usb mode is on)

At the moment the Digitone and Digitone keys sounds are not present on the site, but if they were they would be in sysx format and at the moment there are compatibility problems with the dn2. In any case you can’t find the preset patterns, those are in another type of file and I’ve never seen it on the site, I don’t know if it can be recovered

From what I read, it’s not possible to load any DN1 .syx to a DN2
It seems from what I’ve seen, ALL the legacy DN1 packs out there are distributed as .syx
Which means basically we’re SOL when it comes to getting presets that we don’t program ourselves onto the Dn2?
That can’t be right… Right?
At this stage is not possible to read DN1 sysex so we’re stuck with current Presets and to make our own unless you have a DN1 and re-save them in Transfer file format
