Just stumbled on this great set by DJ Python and I wondered if you could help me decypher what exactly he is doing with his octatrack?
It appears he is able to mute instruments, uses patterns but has smooth transitions between them. I think it’s difficult to know if he’s made a setlist with transition patterns or if he’s improvising using something like Tarekith’s transition trick. He also uses a Virus TI, but I’m not sure if it’s a direct input or using a Thru Machine
I really like the minimalism of this set up and the flow of it. Ihope to be able to reverse engineer it as an inspiration!
What are you guys’ thoughts?
