I play live using an OT as master, and a Rytm as slave, both following the OT’s arranger.
Sometimes, when I hit stop on the OT, and Play again a little bit later, the Rytm start at the 3rd bar. It’s a problem I’ve been experiencing for quite a while and the only solution I have is to double press stop on the Rytm to go back to the 1st bar.
All this happen because of the Song pointer position (SPP) that the OT send in arranger mode. if I press stop at the 3rd bar, and then play, the Rytm will resume from the 3rd bar. I get that it can be something that people want, but in my case it’s never useful.
So, is there a way to disable the OT to send those messages, or disable the Rytm from listen to it ?
I’ve heard about midi processor, like the midi solution event processor, is it the only way to get rid of this SPP ?
