Is there any way to disable the Func+Reload command? When I press the combination accidently when playing live it fucks everything up.
Nope ! I think it would be good if a few of the more serious key combos could be switched into a nooby live mode where they take a second or two onscreen before acting
what is this key combo
Save your part before you try it…
Yeah I think this is just one of those things you have to learn the hard way. I ate a couple parts doing this accidentally and swore at my OT but now I have a subconscious, magnetic opposition to it and it hasn’t happened for a long time.
Watch this happen to me tomorrow as punishment for my smugness…

Function+Cue/Reload. It’s in the manual.
I lost some stuff early on by trying to unmute a track in 5-8 one handed (accidentally hit Cue in the process). I’ve learned over the last couple of years not to get too attached to anything I make in the first 6 months of learning any Elektron box due to user errors. SNAFU’s are going to happen. I’ve lost everything on the MDUW and MNM as well due to similar missteps. Save early, save often, back up regularly.
on the subject of saving, is “save project” enough to save all my work? it has worked so far, I think… I Noticed a project that was empty, and I never recall saving an empty project. But I might have
tbh, for me it’s more a matter of time and it never happens to me accidentally live - that’s the only time i find it useful. live the basics are already saved and i have it more figured out.
i still do it once a week and the more i used it the more it happened. lol it’s more when you’ve spent 4+ hours and it’s dark and you’re tired and you’re excited to try out an idea. basically got me in the habit of never saving so i can’t accidentally reload, which is fine as long as nothing else goes wrong…
i’ve said before, but imo an option of doing it once saying like “save/reload y/n?” or just making you hit yes to accept no to cancel…
That’d be handy as a user optional setting, obviously being able to do fast actions is part of the workflow, but a safety net switchable option wouldn’t harm, i’ve lost lots with finger trouble
sorry if this is a stupid suggestion, but if you don’t need that function why ever save a part? If you don’t use parts and never same them in the first place, that command does nothing
1cent for every time this happened…a mountain of coins
