Digitone2 battery options 2026

Ok we’re almost into 2026…Im going on a long ass flight from the UK to Zanzibar for xmas and thinking about taking the DT2. Whats the best battery option out there in terms of portability and battery life? Are we past the 4 hour mark by now or is that the general standard?

hello you’ve got extensive details on the subject here Digitakt : External battery / Power pack options? - #598 by Novitchok
but yes with a 25 000 ma INUI power bank and a ripcord i 've never managed to empty the battery , even on 4h jam on the sofa i managed 65% battery left

just make sure your battery support 12v output, and the step up is the +12v one
and usb c cable support power delivery ( PD )

amazing thank you…love the sound of that battery life!

And that battery is totally fine to take on a plane (i know nothing about these things)

If so - that battery and this power chord thing and im good

i don’t now about plane policy maybe you should ask on the other thread

yes but the step up is cheaper

Hi,
I recently bought this external battery:

UGREEN Nexode 145W External Battery 25000mAh Power Bank USB C 140W Quick Charge 3 Ports PD 3.1 Portable Charger LED Screen Compatible with iPhone 17 16 15 14 Plus Pro Max Galaxy S25 S24 MacBook iPad : Amazon.fr: Electronics?

I’ve been using it for two months now and so far, so good. (You have to follow certain precautions when you first start using it (2-3 full charges and discharges to begin with, then charge the battery when it reaches 20% and, if you’re storing it for a long time without using it, it’s best to keep it at 50%).

I believe it is allowed on aeroplanes (to be verified).

And this USB cable is fine if you are in Europe:

9 hours of battery life with my DN2.
Really great as an external battery.

@Mortic My (albeit ltd understanding) is your battery wont be allowed on planes - i think 100w is the max?

In the end i went for this combo -

12v converter -

and this power bank -

Ah, sorry.

Yes, it’s 100 W max for the aeroplane.

Be careful when choosing your power bank, as some brands will sell you capacities that correspond to the hardware capacity rather than the usable capacity.

So, for example, you might end up with a 20,000 mAh power bank (hardware capacity) but only get 10,000 mAh of usable capacity.

Baseus Blade 2 gives me like 9.5hrs.

Well, 25000 mAh should be allowed in airplane as it is around 92Wh. When power bank says even 145Watt it means not capacity but how fast it can be charged/discharged in simple words. What airlines are looking for is battery capacity. Say I have two powerbanks: 145 watt 25000 mAh and 22 watt 30000 mAh battery. So the one that has 30000 mAh will not be allowed as there is more “battery power” in it in simple words, comparing to the one that has 25 000 mAh. When a lithium battery fails, it enters a state called thermal runaway , where it releases all its stored energy at once. A battery with 30,000 mAh has more “fuel” (energy) to feed that reaction than one with 25,000 mAh, making the resulting fire significantly more dangerous in a confined space like an airplane cabin

Thank you for that explanation !
