Digitone portamento with midi tracks?

Hello i just want to be sure before buying an mb33 that the portamento is working on the midi tracks of the digitone.

on digitone 2 / digitakt 2 there is no portamento for midi machines… also no retrigger and ARP for midi but if external synth has portamento, it will work

The portamento is on the mb33 and is activated by overlapping midi notes.
Should work with any midi-sequencer.

MB33 retro slides and accents with Digitakt

Im trying to get the MB33 to do slides and accents with the Digitakt and can’t figure out how over Midi. Someone said the notes have to overlap but not sure how to do this. Any clues?

With monosynths, if one note is longer than than the next note, you’ll get a portamento so long as it is activated on the synth. Digitone can sequence notes this way.

I have used my digitone to sequence SH101 and do glides. As described above.

not really i remenber i had to do a trick with the octatrack (with the arp so the note can overlap)

yes someone did it with a digitone as well like hereiamhere75 said it’s on the mb33 just have to overlap notes but for some reason i can’t remember why but you had to use an arp trick with the octatrack…

I believe you’re talking about using the OT arp as described here (though the video is no longer linked) but someone even goes on to say it’s unnecessary and that there’s an easier way to do it.

You’re doing it the hard way. The easy way is to set LEG on, and use the length parameter on the playback page to determine where the glides happen.

Just for reference as to why you were thinking you needed the OT arp for slides.
