Digitone Keys FX Out

Apologies if this has been covered before; the forum search didn’t kick out an answer:

Ive been recording my Analog Four MKIIs individual outs into my Bluebox and am using the sound routing options in the A4 to leave only the FX on the Main Out / Headphones to capture it separately

Does the Digitone Keys have the same option?

Thanks

Hey, in the digitone keys manual on page 77 it details the options for “route to main”.

Under route to main in Audio Routing - Global, you need to press the individual track keys 1-4 so that they’re red and then just make sure that the syn 2, parameter and amp keys remain green for the 3 effects to be isolated on the stereo track.

This will leave the track stems only coming from the individual outs and the main outs will have the 3 effects which you left with green indicators.

That should get you there.

However it works, im glad to hear it works! Shame the FX dont have their own track and LFOs, but still better than the standard Digitone!

Now i just need to find one…

The fx have a dedicated track in overbridge, but on the machine itself all you can do is define the routing. The individual outs essentially make it possible to have a dedicated hardware fx track using the mains, but only if you sacrifice the stereo track output to get it.

I’m envious of the individual outputs period. Would be very useful to have. Anyways good luck in your search!

For a second, I’ve thought there was a “Digitone Keys +FX” in stores…

One of reasons I picked up the Bluebox was to make the most of the individual outs from my A4 MKII and AR MKII (and Eurorack) on my MPC Live - i can move over the stems and do further processing.

As the A4 takes up 5 stereo tracks, i can use the last as a send and return to and from my Mood MKII - in my latest session i just sent 2 of the tracks (highs and mid highs) for glitchy pitch shifted fun, while keeping the other 2 (mid lows and lows) clean.

Oh and the modulated FX are going mad on their own channel, without getting in the way of what Mood is doing. Feels a bit like cake and eating it time.
