Digitone Keys encoders adjustments latency

Hi.
Is there anyone who had experience to solve latency (delay) issue with rotary encoders? And what was the way you deal with it?

I’m seeing that this is not an isolated issue. One person says it’s only when multitrack recording via overbridge, but that when they record via stereo track instead of overbridge it’s fine. Yours does it all the time though?

Lagging encoders on DNK

Hi all, First post here, after a while of mining the forum for tips, tricks, guides, and entertainment. Sadly, my first time out is to raise a concern and question. After a few years of considering the Digitone and trying a few alternatives, I acquired a Digitone Keys with an EGB2 at a good price. I had to upgrade the OS from 1.20 to 1.32, but otherwise, out of the box, I’m loving the sound and flexibility, especially paired with my Digitakt. If you’ve already confirmed that you’re on the latest firmware then it’s probably time to contact elektron by logging into your elektron.se account and filling out a support ticket.

If I find anything that looks like a fix i’ll come back here and update my post.

Seeing a lot of similar issues but no hotfix. Mleaf mentions something related to filter but I assume DNK has different firmware from DN1 so possiibly unrelated.

Laggy Digitone 2

There used to be some lag on the DN1 a while back now, which was apparently related to a particular filter type (the default one, I think). I used to experience this and changing filter type was a fix, albeit not a desired one. Not sure if that bug ever got fixed.

Lots of hits come up if you search the word “lag” in the bug reports thread. I would say that since nobody has posted a fix, that as previously mentioned it’s best to submit a support ticket.

Digitone / Digitone Keys: bug reports

My Digitone is lagging hard when i`m using the filter frequency knob while the sequence is playing. How do i roll back the previous OS?

This isn’t a bug. This is well documented behavior with CPU constraint on the LP4 filter specifically. You will also experience encoder “lag” in heavier Overbridge setups with Digitone & Digitone Keys regardless of whether or not LP4 is being used.
