Hello,
When I use my Digitone II with Overbridge, the External Mixer Vol and Pan do not seem to affect the external input audio on the channel selected with “Audio to: 20”.
Setup
-
Digitone II OS: [version]
-
Overbridge: 2.26.10
-
Computer: [Mac model], macOS [version]
-
DAW: Ableton Live [version], 48 kHz
-
External source: [modular synth model], connected to INPUT L/R
Settings
-
Dual Mono: ON
-
Left Input and Right Input: Pan centered
-
Left Input and Right Input: “Audio to: 20”
-
Ableton audio track input: 41/42
Issue
When the track receives 41/42, changing the Vol or Pan of Left Input and Right Input does not affect the sound. With both inputs panned to center, the signal stays separated into left and right instead of becoming centered.
What I tested
-
Digitone II headphone output: Vol and Pan work as expected.
-
Ableton input 1/2: Vol and Pan work as expected, but this channel carries the full mix.
-
Ableton input 41/42: Vol and Pan have no effect.
-
SETTINGS > AUDIO ROUTING > PRE/POST FADER set to POST: no change on 41/42.
Since the headphone output works correctly, I suspect this only happens with Overbridge, but I have not tested class-compliant USB audio mode.
Questions
-
Is this the intended behavior, or is it a bug?
-
Which signal is sent to Overbridge channel 41/42 when the inputs are set to “Audio to: 20”?
-
Is there a way to receive only the external input over Overbridge, after the External Mixer Vol and Pan, without the other tracks?
Thank you.
