Digitone II: bug reports

Indeed, if we could see that, it would be helpful in understanding how voices are really being used. Perhaps they could be shown “emptying” as the amp release stage progresses.

If I edit a TRIG in Grid record with a length plock by holding it and sending a midi note, the trig length is being reset to 1/16. The trig length should be left unchanged.

She be buggy…
Had some repeatable audio corruption (sounded like broken headphones) on a track that would occur after several minutes of messing with editing / copying trigs etc that could be reset with a reboot. Unfortunately I neglected to export a copy before making changes that made the problem disappear.

Now I have had the unit freeze and load the wrong sounds after reboot. Reloading the saved project is ok but freezes again after changing patterns. The freezing started after experimenting with live recording into (different) chained patterns.
Preparing bug report…

That’s right. Several times I wanted to post here about this bug.

just got my dn2 yesterday. playing around with it i had 2 tracks layered, both with an arp on. put a very slow free running sine LFO to AMP volume on track 1, depth to -100. it seemed like it went way too fast and never completely cut the volume. with multiplier set to x1 and speed to like 0,1 it felt like it was randomly reducing the volume just a little bit and moving way faster than intended.

Have you set the sound to mono, or poly with mono Lfo? I was experiencing some strange lfo behaviour, but found out that it was because of the poly lfos.

i think i left it at poly, but the sound itself had short decay & release and it was using the arp, so playing just one note at a time on that track.

Yeah, but if you have poly lfos, they might be out of “sync”. So when you expect a gradual change on the affected parameter it can be confusing. Since each new note played has its independent lfo. And it can be in a different part of the cycle.

Ok, I have had issues with this as well on some patches. Something is up. I wish we had Overbridge support, because you also have a visual indicator there that shows how fast it is actually oscillating.

Have you tried with voice set to “poly m-lfo”?

ok will try to set the track to mono.

Can somebody test the octave setting in the sound setup menu? Does it stay in the octave after clearing and reloading the sound? Also the assignment of velocity to modulation - does it get relaoded on the DN2 (after clearing and reload the sound from pool or drive?)

Yes, both of these are saved in the sound/preset config. Pretty common for bass presets and the like. As long as you save it to the +Drive it will load that way. Note that with octave setting, that doesn’t mean that when you load it you will visually see it is up or down your amount of configured octaves. E.g. if your on-screen keyboard is at 0, but the patch is at -2 octaves in the sound setup, you will still see it as being at 0, but hear the sound at 0 as if it was at -2.

You are posting in the bug reports thread because it is not working for you? I have already made several patches with sound setup configs and they save as intended.

I had problems with DN1, if i configured the sound setting in Overbridge mode, it did not save the settings - i tried this now with USB streaming instead of Overbridge - and configured the sound from the device itself - it works, and it keeps also the velocity mod i did, which also vanished in the Overbridge vst. I think its more related to an Overbridge problem, than to the Digitone itself. (Rest of the VST interface, seems to work ok, but had some midi latency problems, i did not have, when i put it to usb audio.) (Did send 4 midi clips, everyone pre set up with different velocity, pitchbend, breath control to check the modulation depth neccessary for the sound.)

I’m having that issued again where the sequence will not run when I press play. In case it’s me, can anyone think of a reason for when I press play, the sequence doesn’t run. No light moving across the trigs. Nothing

Hmmm, the sequence or track length accidentally set to one or zero? Sorry for that

Unfortunately, not that. Before it would work if I switched on and off or re-loaded the project but it appears to be completely daed this time. Might have to send it back

Definitely a bug: on Digitone II MOD page, holding MOD does not display the TRIG MODE name.

“Unfortunately, not that. Before it would work if I switched on and off or re-loaded the project but it appears to be completely daed this time. Might have to send it back”

Empty reset and create a new project?
I have a project that is freezing the machine, new project seems fine so far

Anyone else having trouble with Arp’s drifting out of sync?
