You missed the other part of this portfolio
and in that moment of dead silence, the sound of air sucking in through teeth could be heard around the world.
ouch
Parameter slide would make this machine perfect!
Wavetable FM - please. And individual waves per OP.
ITS REAL
switching to the new thread, thanks my mates for all this nice thread with interesting discussion and very fonny fun, see you there
Please please please, arps for midi! Crying out for it!!!
Also while Iâm here, ability to have infinite master pattern length to allow polymeters To carry on without resetting. Hear me out, I know it can technically do it alone but when combined with other elektron gear it only seems to follow pattern changes correctly when master pattern length is set to 64, otherwise it changes pattern one bar late. Such a shame, all my live sets are compromised and I lose all my hypnotic polyâs.
thereâs only one way.
Welcome to eurorack !
My Iridium can do it. no need for crack. You would need lots of digital modules anyway.
Feature request for DN1, add the third lfo if possible, or make a mode with less voices, where we could use the third lfo. (And make presets compatible with DN2)
Or even better, a mono mode, but with all LFO Envelopes of the unused voices.
i think sincerely that DN is done, overbridge updates for compatibility, not that it like this but here we are.
Sure from a business standpoint surly a valid point, keep some boards for repair and get over it, there is not much wrong with it.
I actually tried to limit my vital patches to 4 LFO (so i dont have to automate that much, just to see what i can do within these boundarys, and compenate for the Elektron Sequencer.) Helps with creativity.
Damn, I know youâre right but the way you said it hurts me.
Not much demand here, for obvious reasons.
Well, precisely : I like my Digitone KEYS 1) Because Iâm a keyboard player 2) Because it has separate outputs and I pair it with external hardware.
I doubt there will ever be a Digitone Keys 2, for It was not a seller and I donât see extending the output to 16 stereo stuff i.e. 32 of them etc. But this is not my main point.
My main point is that I guess many things implemented into the DN 2 could also find their way into DN OG (sound machines etc.). You might think ITâs Crazy, but itâs not.
Hardcore Elektronauts have already gone 2s, but the price tag of those new entries might just be too high for newcomers, people unfamiliar with the Worflow etc.
So prices on DT and DN (particularly DN) going down is a good thing in this regard, but too much devaluation is not good for those among newcomers that become true believers. If they can recoup their 2nd hand purchase to âdiscoverâ by letting them go at still a good price, they are more likely in the end to jump a notch up too ! By adding functions to the OGs, the resale value remains high, while limitations make the upgrade worth the extra money (even more so with DT OG as a mono sampler with limited +drive space).
When the Ferrari F-50 came out, the F-40 did not end up in Junk YardsâŚ
Their will always be 4 Tone and 4 Midi Tracks ONLY on the DN OG, but having one drum, one improved FM, one Swarmer and one Wavetone track(s) would be such a blast ! Even with added limitations in Polyphony, Sequencing, there are a myriad of improved things that does not tax CPU (ex : labelling of CC controls for MIDI tracksâŚ). I could actually pay for that.
And theyâre so very well built : those sound tanks deserve a future. Corporate-wise, favouring reparability/upgradability might also not only be good as an image to customers (Novation does that very well), but that ainât greenwashing, these are actions that can be valued from a corporate tax-rebate point of view (not sure what swedish fiscality looks like, but pretty much every EU country favors that kind of initiative).
And I like entering notes with such a nice keyboard and play on top.
Just Sayinâ
As well as :
⢠comb filter
⢠MIDI cc labelling
Please, one last tiny small update ![]()
Still wish I had just a simple ass latch for the arp.
Whatâs wrong with the midi sequencer? I use Digitone 2 to sequence minitaur.
An option to turn off the flashing trigs would be nice. In mute modes the solid and flashing lights are hard to distinguish quickly in a jam setting
#mutelights

Per track clipper. For both Digis please, this one simple thing would make the sound so much more professional.
Well, we havenât seen much in months, have we ? But I reckon the new OUTBOX will trigger a firmware update, so wouldnât be time for the DN-Keys to output its own tracks with (or without) FXs (albeit summed in mono when only Left/Mono gets hooked up to external H/W). And make those arpeggios benefit external MIDI hardware CV through own outputs would make sense too I think âŚI guess no other new feature will ever be added as I mentioned last summer (no new machines ?)
