Hello, I just got these 2 boxes DN2 and DT2. Just curious what the recommended or normal way to hook these up together. Right now I have DT2 midi out to DN2 midi in,
The question is the audio patch. Is it better to patch the DT2 outputs to the DN2 inputs or the other way around.
Or third option is I have a 32ch mixer and just run all outputs to mixer
They have the same effects now as far as I know so you are not losing/gaining anything in that regard by connecting them in any specific way.
On the other hand you can sample the inputs on the Digitakt so it might be a good idea to connect the DN outputs into the DT inputs.
Another thing to consider is if you think you will play on one device more than the other. If your primary device is also your mixer then that’s fine. If you play on your secondary device more you will have to turn on your primary device just to hear your secondary, even if you weren’t planning on using it.
That, or if you are using headphones you can just plug into whichever device you are using, if you’re only using one.
Lots of topics on this with the 1st editions of these boxes. Same applies, but the DN now also has a compressor.
Still would be DN into DT to have sample capabilities.
