I bought the DN2 new about 10 months ago from Thomann Germany and I have e-mailed them asking how to proceed but I’d like to check whether there’s anything obvious I can try myself, such as cleaning it. So far, I’ve only tried blowing some compressed air into it (just around the button without opening a case - device is still on warranty), but that hasn’t helped.
I’m having a similar problem. It just started this afternoon - Trig 2 is not responding at all. Have tried multiple kits, turned the DN2 off and on again.
This is really, really bad timing. I haven’t had a single issue with this machine, and I was about to use it in a live performance tomorrow (its first outing!)
Any help, other than what @Flekk has suggested would be very much appreciated.
a) Put it in test mode, pop the switch cap off with a credit card and blow compressed air in there (or get a vacuum cleaner and give it a good suck there). Give the switch a workout while you do it.
b) They’re very easy to open up. If you have a multimeter then power it off, remove allen screws, pop the top off, flip it over, and test resistance across that switch when you press it. If the switch works then suspect the solder joints there and reheat them with a bit of fresh solder.
