Bought Digitone 2 recently and it is my first question, so maybe it can a simple question for some people.
I want to use several midi channels and attach cc controls for them, however in manual i see, that there is only 16 CC controls for whole device(from 77 - 85). Does it mean, that i can use only 16 CCs for whole project? I just see that other CC controls are attached to internal effects of Digitone and not sure if it is good idea to attach them to my external gear
You can send 16 different CC per MIDI track to other gear, those MIDI CC you are seeing are the CCs the Digitone can receive to control what it sends through the MIDI tracks.
For example: you have tracks 1-8 configured as MIDI tracks and accepting MIDI on channels 1-8, sending MIDI data to other 8 synths, in each of these tracks you can configure 16 different arbitrary CCs to change values on each of the 8 synths. Then if you had another piece of gear (like a computer) sending MIDI to the Digitone on the channels 1-8 to these CC values you would be controlling one of the 16 parameters you are sending to the other 8 synths.
Yes, i want Digitone to receive these CCs to control what is sends through these MIDI tracks. I just noticed the issue, when 2 synths on separate MIDI channels are attached to knob with similar CC number and tweaking it on one synth causes the trig for another synth. I am just trying to fix this issue and see if it possible to have 16 CC for every synth that i am sequencing with Digitone
So much quicker to try ai yourself instead of waiting for others to answer.
