Hi I just recieved my new digitone2 (upgrading from the og digitone) and I was checking i’m on the latest firmware - I’d arleady downloaded the latest from elektron. But now I’m confused, the firmware says 1.10E (says this on the overbridge engine window as well) but the latest OS you can get from elektron is 1.10D ! Wondering if mine has got advanced access to a later OS and what surprises it migtht have… (nothing obvious so far) Anyone else noticed this?
Don’t downgrade. There were several recent threads with a similar plotline and somehow downgrading led to problems.

Actually the one I found is a digitakt but a similar situation so I’d leave it alone.
If it’s a newer firmware, then they put it on there for a reason. There were likely no advantages to replacing the old one with the one on your machine so no public release. IE no upgrades and no new bug fixes.
Sometimes they update OSes to work around changes in production. That OS won’t be relevant for already made machines, but still requires a new version number. If there were new features it wouldn’t just be an incremented patch revision number unfortunately, and they likely wouldn’t put that on a new machine before releasing the patch. Sorry for raining on peoples parades 
A change in the final letter will be a bug fix, not extra features.

Not even a bug fix, its for Elektron production purpose to align with adjustments in factory procedures.
