Digitakt with hardware External FX

Sup Elektronauts,

I have a pioneer RMX-1000 that was sitting around collecting dust, and a Rane Mixer doing the same. Decided to use it for FX and I run it through the FX Loop (send/return) on the Rane mixer, then connect the Digitakt main outs in one of channels on the Rane mixer. Now I’m able to add some cool FX, overdubs, and so on to the digitakt master.

My question is, can the ins/outs of the Digitakt be used as an FX Loop and can I skip using the Rane, or am I doing the right thing here? Thanks!

  1. Just connect the output of your digitakt to the input of your pioneer rmx
  2. then copnnect outputs of rmx to speaker OR connect headphones to rmx
  3. party!!!

Sweet, Thanks! Didn’t even think of that.

Cain’t do that. No headphone out. Of course the less expensive RMX-500 has a headphone output.

 That’s the one I’ve got…

Yeah pioneer made some real intersting decisions with those units. No midi too. Funny considering the EFX (prior versions) had midi and footswitch options.
