Digitakt sampling external Gear

Hello together ,
I just tried to sample a nice Sound from Minilogue xd into my digitakt .
This all worked Fine but i would like to Play that in chromatic Keyboard mode on the digitakt .
The recorded Note Sounds Fine but when i want to play Keyboard Mode a other Note this gets faster in the Tempo . Also in the grid mode .

Maybe there Is an idea ?

I Know that the Problem always sits on Front of the machine. Im quite New in the Elektron World but i Love it .
Thanks
Best regards

Yep. Thats sampling.
You might want to try time stretch mode, which i beleive digitakt now has. This may or may not give you pleasing results.

Think of sampling as recording. Once the sound is recorded, it is fixed. The only way to repitch (play chromatically) the sound is to speed it up, or slow it down.

Time stretch algorithms do clever stuff to preserve the speed of the sample play back, as it is repitched.

sample a scale of notes , each one about the same length… and use one of the slice modes to replay them back. listen to some sample packs to see how they do it.

or alternatively (and sometimes depending on the sound) sample a long note and loop part of it, using the Digitakt to provide envelope and filter.

So i tried it again but i didnt work . Maybe it takes More Time to understand this .
There were some recordings on the Projekt before from the owner before and i can Play them with the Same speed on Every key in the chromatic Mode.

I Love my Miniloque Sounds and wanted to Play and Store the synths Sounds on my digitakt without using the midi Channel and connect my minilogue…
So i could have my minilogue Sounds on the go and be Portable only with the digitakt .

I see what you are trying to do. I think you need a sampler that has “multisampling” function. No Elektron gear has this function.
A little side note: generally sampler are primarly made and suited to collect and playing sounds and loops. They aren’t made to “substitute” entirely a synthesizer.

You can record them equally spaced over 4/8/16/32/64 keys on your DT or your DAW and use the Slice machine.
Recording on DT is limited to 33 seconds. DAW prepared files can be longer.
Your playback will be monophonic unless you distribute your sound to multiple tracks and use something like the retrokits rk002 to distribute incoming notes accordingly. This rk002 is basically a programmable MIDI cable that goes from your MIDI out to your MIDI in.

Hey many thanks

Why does the other samples can Play in normal Tempo with the chromatic Keyboard .
Isnt that the Same ?
Also i saw on you Tube Recording from an external synth and played the sample easy on Grid and chromatic Mode .

Hm

Always New experience and Not that easy for an analog Guitar Player to get on with These connections.

Nice day Everyone
