Just got a Volca FM and the RK002 cable to add velocity to sequence and control with digitakt. It works but I’m running in to some quirks that might be due to digitakt, but I don’t know.
My midi-chain looks like this Roland PC200 mk2 MIDI-keyboard->Digitakt->Proteus2000->Volca FM…
The last connection is the RK002 and it does transmit the MIDI notes with velocity but when I also try and control velocity with midi cc 41 and the digitakts own velocity gauge these seem to be overrun by the RK002.
It might be because of p-locking or something? I can manipulate the velocity during live recording but not when not recording. It might be normal but it would be nice to be able to record/sequence the volca fm and change the velocity whenever without having to live record the changes. Is it because sequences have velocity programmed during recording/sequencing?
Anybody have any thoughts? Somebody running the same setup?
It works pretty well as is so I’m not really complaining, as you can work around it kind of, but always looking to optimize!
Cheers
