Could anyone tell me if Digitakt has 8 channels of midi for the audio tracks and 8 for external?
Or there are 8 total,for its own samples and external too.

8 audio tracks for your samples with their own sequencer tracks, and 8 Midi tracks for external gear

8 sample tracks + 8 midi tracks.
You can use the 8 sample tracks and 8 midi tracks simultaneously with no problem.
