Digitakt Mega Tutorial

ahem … not cool … personal name calling makes it worse too … flags my friend, let’s leave the (former and this) indiscretion well alone

I’m finding it useful and easy to follow. As for YouTube tutorials, Cuckoo’s videos have been very helpful to get me moving on the Digitakt. They’re engaging and well-made–good production quality. It also doesn’t hurt that Cuckoo is a likable character. Cheers for that, and great thanks for the thorough walk-through he’s provided for us.

I haven’t watched yet but Im excited about it, I LOVE his videos, such a cool attitude and great voice

I just don’t see the problem of someone saying it found boring, everything now has to be so politically correct. Im sure cuckoo its totally fine with it. whatever guys…

Excellent video, Cuckoo. As with so many of your videos it’s interesting and inspirational. Makes me want to play my instruments! Please keep them coming!!

Any chance you can get a looksy round the Elecktron family home? Like with the brilliant Bastl and Teenage Engineering videos?

Much Love

Thanks! I’d love to shoot a portrait or docu something with the Elektrons. But I’m not sure they’d like that kind of open insight. They seem to keep their developers and inside community safe from any outside influences and uncomfortable cameras and media and stuff like that.
But… yeah… I’m sensing the vibe on this, and I think it’s good manner not to ask.

When my DT arrives on Monday, I’ll have my first Elektron product. I’ve wanted to jump into the world of Elektron boxes for some time, and I’ve been told time and time again that I should check out your channel as a point of entry.

I’m waiting until it arrives to watch the tutorial so that I can follow along with the DT in front of me, and get those button combos in my muscle memory. However, I’m really looking forward to checking the video out and learning from it! From the feedback here and on Youtube it seems like the video is awesome. Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make such a comprehensive tutorial!

Great work, the mention at the end about midi stability and general stability might have been better at the beginning, only because some people might buy the DT expecting it to be fully bug free if they don’t make it all the way through the video.

That’s a good point. The international thing.
Cuckoo’s videos are quite easy to understand for non English (Swedish/Norwegian?) speaking people.
I’m french, sound engineer, my english is not so bad, (drank many beers in Ireland), love to go deep in the machines and read all the manual after, so I like a video to go straight to the point.

I found Cuckoo’s videos slow at first, not my cup of tea, but after a few videos, I realised it was clear, helpful, nice, funny…
Helpful too if you don’t have the machine, he helped me to choose A4 instead of AR, with the Multi Map tutorial.

@cuckoomusic, what about some short advanced level videos?

Evidently you need to hire some dancing girls or something for your videos Cuckoo :stuck_out_tongue:

Really nice tutorial! Do you think you’ll do one showing more advanced features like trig conditions, LFOs, etc?

Thanks! My thinking is that the midi stability will be solved in a few weeks anyways, that’s why I put it in the end.

Is it ok if I just put on a dress and dance myself?

If that’s your preferred aesthetic
