Digitakt + iPad + NanoKontrol: is this setup possible?

hi everyone! I’m about to get a Digitakt, and I’ve been thinking of many possible setups…
since I’m traveling soon, I want to keep it light - mainly just Digitakt and iPad (sequencing some synths with DT, also using the iPad for some textures, looping for transitions… )

my question is this: I have a NanoKontrol that I would love to use without taking my USB-MIDI host with me too… so I’m wondering if by adding a usb hub, I might be able to do something like this:

DT >>>> USB hub
NanoKontrol >>> USB hub
USB hub >>> iPad
then routing the NanoKontrol back to the Digitakt…

hope it’s clear enough, I can upload a sketch otherwise.
I’m not completely sure if the Digitakt would get the routing back with that hub in between, but afaik it does have bilateral connection when hooked directly to iPad.
another thing that worries me is if hooking the NanoKontrol might interfere at all with MIDI messages - I don’t think so since the NK has very low consumption… then again, the hub has a power supply I could use, just in case.

any clues about this?

Yes it’s possible. For example, you can use AUM to route MIDI.
