Is it possible to trim a sample as you go rather than trimming and saving at the same time? When I would trim samples in the original DT I would do rough cut trims by moving to approximately the spots I was going to use, trim away the excess and then make further adjustments before saving. Even though this method was more steps to prepare the sample I found it was actually quicker and easier to really dial in the edit points before saving. Now I have to be so precise. Is there a way to trim as you go (I think it was a simple press of the “yes” button previously). It’s funny, the DTII has so many great features and improvements but there are little things about adopting a new machine that you take for granted about old workflows. If it was just a matter of “I need to get used to the new way of doing things” I wouldn’t bother asking this question but I do feel that for me the old way of trimming samples was actually a lot more effective and precise.

afaik dt2 is same as dt1.
theres a lot of memory so i’d just tweak the default start/end once it’s loaded into sample pool and forget about the tiny little bit of wasted sample space.
or edit/fix on computer
Yeah, it’s more about the editing procedure than the memory. And further adjustment after the sample is saved is tougher since you can’t zoom in on the start/end points.
I’m wondering if I’m the only person who used to edit samples this way on the DT.
