I found that this can be a great way to “remix” drum loops or percussion loops in a musical way. At least more musical than by selecting “random locks” on the src page… Will probably work for melodic material too…:
- Select a 1 bar drum or percussion loop sample
- Set the src machine to grid and set it to 16 slices
- Put trigs on all 16 steps of your 1 bar pattern
- Press “yes” on the src page and select “linear locks”
- Now go to the euclidean sequencer and turn it on
- Randamise the euclidean page until you like the result
