Hi there. New elektronaut here with a fresh Digitakt 2.
I have used hardware and software for making electronic music since 1980. I have owned a shit-ton of gear, and the way Elektron has implemented LFO speed, is hands down, no contest what-so-ever, the worst I have ever seen.
“Simply set Speed to 5.33 to get dotted notes”
(And to rub salt in that wound, if you insist on doing it the “math way”, then every math oriented person will know, that 5.33 is not 5 1/3.)
And if we go back to the year I mentioned, where I bought my Roland SH-09, Roland had the utmost kindness to put a little red flashing LED to show the LFO speed. Just like every other synth (hardware or software) I have owned since that.
Elektron has a big OLED display to their disposal but refuses to use as much as a single pixel for visualising the LFO speed on the dedicated LFO page. That is a very special kind of evil.
Anyway, got to get my printer working to print out a table for LFO speeds. Because …. Elektron.
