Digitakt Broken USB Port?

After selling my Digitakt late last year I had to get a new one. I missed it too much!
However, the Digitakt I bought is not connecting to anything via USB.

I have tried connecting to two Mac OSX (10.13.6) computers and a few iPads (iOS12.1.1)

I am unable to make a connection to the transfer application (v1.1.0) and I don’t see the device in my Audio Midi Set Up.

The unit came with a Grey USB cable, unlike my old one that had a red cable.
The Digitakt is OS 1.10

I am able to connect via Midi to other midi devices.
I have also checked that the mid Config settings are set to Midi + USB, and have also tested on USB only.

Here is a listing of the settings in the Midi section:

Synch

  • Clock receive: Off

  • Turbo Speed: Off

I have factory reset the DT.

I do not know what else to do at this point and hope that you can help me.

If anyone has any other advice I would be all ears.

Try a different USB cable, sounds like the seller wanted to keep the nice elektron one.

I figured it out!
It looks like DT OS 1.10 has a setting for Overbridge that when turned on prevents USB from being recognized by other devices.

System - USB Config
Overbridge Mode
USB-Midi Only

When I turned off Overbridge and turned on USB-Only it worked.

Whew!

The included cable is an Elektron cable by the way, it’s just grey instead of red :slight_smile:
