My Digitakt 2 screen didn’t turn on after five minutes, even when plugged in by itself… What’s the problem? Thanks for your answers.
Brand new of just started happening?
It could be that a ribbon cable needs to be re-seated. Fairly easy to do if you’re comfortable taking the knobs off and removing the faceplate screws.
You’re best course of action is to contact Electron support.
It’s probably still under warranty , they haven’t been out more than 3 yrs yet.
Yes it is new.
I would not open it, you might lose warranty.
Talk to customer support.

Oops, I messed up the wording. The screen doesn’t pause after five minutes of inactivity.
Ok, the screen should go dark after 60 minutes of inactivity (according to the manual) and I think that’s the normal behavior.
Is that what you’re trying to figure out? How to make the screen turn off when not in use?
Does the screen dim a bit after 5 minutes? Normally you can still see it but it’s a little less bright.

Indeed, the screen doesn’t dim after 5 minutes of inactivity. Its brightness doesn’t change.
I haven’t tested it for 60 minutes, but I don’t think it goes into “pause” mode…
My machine is brand new.
Is it connected via USB? To a computer or something else? That can keep it awake. Or midi clock might also do it.
You’d need to test for the full duration of 60 minutes to see if the screen goes dark, but if plugged into a USB port on some other device that might be the issue.
It’s completely disconnected. I’m going to test it for an hour…
