I have superior drummer 3 playing drums assigned to pads on the digitakt 2 via usb through superior drummer 3 standalone app. I press the pad and i see and hear the drum play on superior drummer however i cannot play a sequence of the sounds. I am limited to just pressing the pad to hear the sound. I know this can be done as i have somehow turned on the highhat to be sequenced at one point but cannot determine how this was done and am unable to determine how this is happening. Is there anyone using Superior Drummer 3 that has a setup explanation? I am guessing that i need to adjust the cc values but not sure how this is done. My kick is listed as cc 36 on superior drummer and i am unable to assign pad 1 to this the kick. I am not a total noob with midi but if anyone can explain this like i am five it would be appreciated. thanks
I dont own a DT2, or use SD3, so not absolutely sure.
However, I’d imagine SD3 is looking for midi notes, not CC, to trigger it’s sounds.
CC’s tend to be for changing parameter values, and notes for triggering sounds.
Maybe you need to change the DT2 track to a MIDI track?
In any case, what will help massively in all forms of MIDI troubleshooting, is a MIDI monitoring app. On Mac I use one called ‘MIDI Monitor’. It’s free and very straightforward.
