Difference between two trigs :

Hello there !!

I’m trying to understand, what is the difference between a normal trig playing a note+enveloppe ON and a trigless trig with an enveloppe ON ?
Did the trigless trig play the OSC’s ?

Thank you of course !

A trigless trig will not send a note on message to its synth voice, but will still allow you to lock parameter changes to that step.

Yes, but that’s because the Oscillators are always on anyway and always respond to the Note and tuning settings/locks (it’s nothing to do with Note on messages)

There is only one difference between a Note Trig and a Trigless Lock (A4 does not have Trigless Trigs btw, that’s an OT thing) … Amp Envelope

A Trigless Lock can be everything a Note Trig can be (but without Amp Envelope retriggering)

If you create a Trigless Lock, by default it will disable ALL envelope re-triggering (but ENVF and ENV2 can be re-enabled with locks, just not AMP envelope)

SO it is no way to put settings lock without lock a note  ?

I think the question is lost in translation … but you can change other sound parameters without applying a pitch/tuning lock via either the sound or track
