For a while there’s been a small piece of debris visible in the display. I’m pretty sure it got there after I stood the unit on its end in order to screw in end cheeks.
The unit is out of waranty and the grit’s not affecting its function in any way. It’s just slightly annoying, like having dust on a camera lens.
Has anyone has experienced something like this and fixed it? To anyone who’s seen the guts of an A4 would it be as simple as opening it up and trying to blow it out?
Not sure about how easy it would be to blow it out, but one question for you: how is your A4 out of warranty? Elektron coverage is 3 years, and the A4 came out in late 2012, so you should still have warranty (unless you bought used without getting proof of purchase).
Oh, I forgot about the 3 year coverage, I assumed it was 1 year. I wonder, does the warranty also cover the paint chipping issue? Still, not sure I want to go through the hassle of sending it away for x number of months. I can live with it as is.

Yes, it should according to others that have sent it in. I have the paint issue and the only reason I’d send it in is for resell-ability, although I don’t currently plan on letting go my A4.
I noticed a tiny fleck of dirt, top right in my AK screen. Is there any easy and safe way to remove this? It came after I leant the AK upright against a wall. Thanks
