Kush has a mega sale going on right now.
Omega Transformer plugins for $18
Reddi for $31
The lowest I’ve seen, great plug-ins too. Reddi can turn just tapping your finger on a microphone into a monstrous sub-kick.

Yea, I got the new bundle too, and there are so many things about BreakTweaker that I can’t abide. Fortunately, Iris 2 was worth the $46 alone. (pro tip- they’ll give you 5% off if you let it sit in your cart)

I’m really loving Iris 2, and found NKS for it which makes it even better. Aside from the obvious benefit of previews, the presets also load faster in Komplete Kontrol than the plug-in itself.

Nice
Thanks for the link.
Already had the FreqEcho which I really liked.
Now this one is more like Raum, on the creative side: can be huge and lush

Is there a stand out Kush plug you’d recommend? looking for a distortion plug for kicks primarily. the omega series looks interesting

I know @AdamJay speaks very highly of the Reddi plugin

Indeed Reddi and Omega 458a are the two i use the most.
Omega N is solid for snares and hats, too.

For Kick distortion I’d go for Reddi and Omega TWK, though you have to use extreme settings to get them to distort. They’re more saturation than distortion. Try the demos first.

I know this is not what you asked but I just want to throw it out there that Fab Filter Saturn 2 was just released and I’m loving it. So much better than the original IMHO. It can do subtle as well as crazy and where it really stands out is that you can even add different distortions to different frequencies within the kick. I’m not sure if it’s on sale for everyone, but I got a deep discount because I owned the original and one of their other plugins. Check the video for an example on an 808.

Applied Acoustics Ultra Analog VA-3 is on sale, half off, at $99
https://www.applied-acoustics.com/ultra-analog-va-3/

Pro Tip, if you’ve bought a Volca or other Korg that comes with a “software bundle” card, put your card’s serial # in at www.korg.com/bundle, scroll down and you’ll find a gratis license for the AAS “Session Bundle” (a $99 value). Register that and you can get the VA-3 as an upgrade for just $49 for the next 4 days while the sale is on.

I put the Kush Reddi on the Arturia OB-Xa V last night and just jammed for hours on pad sounds. Shook the whole neighborhood.

Used to own the hardware unit, never had two for stereo so never used it this way. The plugin is heaven.

I’m not that into the compressors and UBK1 requires a dongle so I don’t use it. But all the Omegas and Reddi are peppered throughout my tunes.

Enjoy!

what’s your opinion and user case for Omega A and N plugs? i really love the TWK and 458A, very useful on drums. thinking about completing the set!

I use the standard API sounds great for:_____ + Neve sounds great for:______ reasoning
It’s transformer saturation.

The N rolls some highs a bit so I tend to use it on bright, dynamic sources, like Drumatix hats and sharp digital synths.
The A has bite and brings things to the front, so I use it on warm filtered leads and sounds with low transients.

But, no wrong way to use them. Be creative, teach us all something new. Every tool is a weapon.

BFD3 on sale at 50% off on pluginboutique.com:

https://www.pluginboutique.com/meta_product/1-Instruments/64-Virtual-Instrument/2228-BFD3-Line

While this particular drum sampler is now some 6 years old, in terms of sound quality it is still one of the best. I find its samples to be the rawest, most „realistic“ sounding around. (I also own Superior Drummer 3, which sounds great also, but a little more „timid“ for lack of a better word).

BFD3 was recently sold to inMusic, so this may be a blowout sale, in any case, the software is still great (and runs on macOS Catalina).

If you want great music writing: micro-chop has a 70%-off sale until end of month: https://microchop.substack.com/ 1 year for 13USD

NI has $200 off their S3 4-deck Traktor DJ controller through the end of July.

$449, down from $649
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/traktor/dj-controllers/traktor-kontrol-s3/

That´s pretty tempting. Been thinking about a controller for a while for my non-turntablist stuff and even though I´d prefer the S4 MK3 with the motorized jogs it´s a total dealbreaker for me that it doesn´t support the iPad.

If I didn’t already have the DDJ-1000 with Rekordbox, I would go that route too.

I got it for the easy rekordbox compatibility, but now that there is some competition in the traktor to rekordbox conversion tool space, those tools are quite good. DJs can pick their poison but also be able to easily work with their crates on CDJ/XDJs as well.

That conversion might become a little more difficult when Rekordbox 6 drops, they changed their library format if I‘m not mistaken.
I‘ve always been a fan of the Remix Decks and Traktor FX capabilities, even though I mostly use Serato now these are the features I really miss.

And on a side note: buying at NI‘s shop directly is always more expensive for whatever reason. In their webshop the S3 is 399,-€, at the musicstore in my area it’s listed for 359,-€.
