IMO it’s not so much about “sampling”, it’s more about layering. We can layer a typcial synth sound with a sample and create fantastic tones.
An often used combination is to get an attack or transient sample and combine it with a synth sound. This can create tones, which may be close to blow a flute, a bottle, to hit a bell but also have the synth part.
IMO for this low price it’s a nobrainer for Blofeld owners. After having had the D-50 for some time, which has a sound-engine based on sample/synth layering, I got this feature for the Blofeld as well
