Throwing this one out there, just a sketch really, serato sample and few loops cobbled together this afternoon after I drop the kids off, the sample is stolen from a blues/gospel number called don’t let the devil ride by Leo bud welch…
Edited post with revised version, switched up repeated vocal for a second verse which I think flows better and is a bit more interesting… :+1:

Although I appreciate any positive feedback or even points, I‘m here for the challenge (to learn new things and get things done) and the deadline helps a lot. So I focus more on finishing the mission instead of winning. (I hope this makes sense.)

I also like that you really get constructive feedback and I love the overall spirit in this batte. :slightly_smiling_face:

If anyone needs a bit of last minute inspiration I just discovered someone’s uploaded a pair of albums to Apple Music and Spotify called “Classic breaks vol 1” and “Classic breaks vol 2”

I’ve used them for some drum chops so I’ve actually created something now!

Should get in it for the deadline and everything

Here is my little contribution. I made it on my Digitakt and processed it in FL Studio.

I used both of the breaks that @proskynesis posted along with a kick from the Brother James Anderson track that @Seadub posted. The vocals are from the BeBe and CeCe track @electricthing posted. I also used a break that I made with MODO Drum 2.

The main sample is a thing that I built around the vocal and then chopped up. I also sampled a note and a chord that I made with the Bass Station 2 VST.
