sheeesh! man, the Cycles really is something else. i think its one of the most interesting, great sounding grooveboxes of our time. i imagine people looking back on it when its “vintage” and talking about how people didn’t really get why it was special at the time but its very sought after now because of its character, power, and immediacy
Tough question. Depends on a lot of things, the first ones which comes to mind are: are you more into sampling and the drum and tone synthesis on mc is enough for you, go dt2.
If not and money is rare, the st got great options on the used market, and in addition you can sell the mc.
As much as I love the Syntakt (my favourite Elektron box ever), I think a Digitakt will provide more versatility overall when paired with an MC. Despite the differences in the interface, sound and versatilitiy between the MC and ST, I think you will start questioning if you need them both.
A Digitakt will provide a completely different set of tools and sounds, and may even help you get more out of your MC through sampling.
FM stands for Fantasy Music. New Model:Cycles dungeon synth tape. The last track runs through a EQD Cloven Hoof pedal, but everything else is pure Cycles.
i wanted to upload a couple of older Cycles jams on here, just for fun
I have bought ( and sold ) it 5 times now, but i just cant seem to keep the device.
Have had an Syntakt which was great, maybe ill just stick to that one.
But the Cycles has a special place in my heart.
love hearing the different songs/jams on here, keep it up !
