Some DnB vibes with Model:Cycles

Only Cycle on this track, this guy used ableton to add fxs etc. For technoish amateurs:

I’ve been enoying cycles a lot recently. I really like that it has the exact right amount of features to put together a cohesive song and performance without distraction.

My brother’s 13 year old son got interested in making some music after seeing one of my insta vids. I told him he can borrow my model:cycles, so felt like I had to play with it for a bit after a long time, so I can explain to him how it works a little bit better. Don’t know if he"s really going to get into making music, but giving him the opportunity to try feels like a nice thing to do. (maybe he’s already having to much hobbies as is, but we’ll see)
This one pattern jam came out of it.
There"s some processing from the AH+FX (with some bitcrushing) and Moodmk2. There’s also some limiting and eq done afterwords, so it’s not a “dry” cycles sound.

a lot of fun! glassy tropical warm sounds is a big part why i like this machine so much. Great stuff on the solo aswell

hot damn thats tough!! im going to be watching those tutorials from you for sure.

something new i made on the model cycles i was planning on selling…

little bit of compression & EQ in ableton but thats it.

A lot of noodling into a swampy, reverby mess at the end but that is what i love about the cycles.
