At the end the source material is not really important, as it will be not recognizable, I like to find some unknown material but all can serveā¦
The two tracks seemed on the same note so Iāve treated a little ( Speed on Disk and Mosaic) and then resampled both together on a third track on Torso. This new track received a lot of manipulations, granular and LFOās on different āmachinesā, mostly on Deform and Filterā¦ Fourth track is a random Spanish dialog with random start and some delayā¦
The thing is that sometimes Iām using ārandom modsā of a length of 3, 4 or 5 and assign that on different things(that gives the 'rhythm āgrooveā to the track), and then I spread the āmodā till it sounds interesting for me, a lot of experimentation, but I feel that the result is quite organic. I love to lose myself on this hypnotic state.

getting back into the octatrack with some techno stuff so good! I need to figure out how to get more volume of the anime clips so they can be heard better in the mix. The faders, plocks, effects and options are still awesome on my 8 year old Octatrack even in 2025.
Now I need to sample and resample my new gear to the Octatrack, TX-6 sampler and SP 404MK2! Infinite song ideas too.

You can normalize and otherwise add gain to your samples in the AED settings.

oh thank you! yeah getting back into octatrack as useful way to create stuff with new and old gear. I find octatrack easier to use than my sp404 mk2! I prefer using sp404mk2 to trigger one shots and as fx machine.
