I’m the Joker.
Im Warner Bros. Your both fired
Loopop just has the knowledge and seems to pick up new gear pretty quickly and grasp all the features. I’ve been into synths since the 80’s but this guy just seems to know how everything works so I don’t think it’s easy to get to his level. I do watch his videos if I want to watch a certain feature due to the time stamping, but I prefer watching Nick Batt, Stimming, starsky carr, Ricky Tinez for actual opinions, I feel loopop is more like a video manual of all this gear rather than actually reviewing it. Nick is still the main man
His brother Mike was Wombling free too.
Ha, his voice is proper moany northerner, love it.
Big Clive’s voice is a favourite of my wifes, smooth Scottish.
And yep Loopop is awesome, in case my posts gave any different impression.
No. His videos are very precise, organized, and he seems to do a lot of research on the functionality of his instruments. He seems to get to know them quite well before doing the videos. Many of the other hardware reviewers seem to almost stumble into their gear, and let you fumble along with them, or they know certain things, but don’t have a broad and deep knowledge of the many features of the instrument. Loopop is pretty unique in this regard. The only other person who I think really compares to his knowledge of the instruments they review is maybe Nick Batt.
Oh yes all these youtube and instagram reviews demo always end with the famous sentence: it depends from what you are looking for
Which says nothing to me
So in essence all these youtube reviews don’t say anything to me, I feel I never learn anything being Loopop, Huang Cuckoo, Bobeats and bla bla bla
I hope all this youtube world will end soon
He makes video manuals and is very good at learning gear and explaining it. It’s not easy to teach, especially for free, and to get people to pay attention of their own volition. Hats off to him.
Now, the real question is whether Loopop is Batman.
Loopop is like the anti Andrew Huang/Bo Beats. No naval gazing, flexing or click bait… just straight forward demos of gear you’ll likely never find in a local shop. A bit like Nick Batt’s SonicState videos, but with less of a Guitar Center vibe (sorry Nick).
He’s also very concise and borderline clinical, which is all I really want from these types of videos. Everyone else is noise, save for maybe Ricky Tinez who’s videos are a guilty pleasure. They’re just so cozy
Could anyone be Loopop?
isn’t the answer in the question?
If anyone could be Loopop, then the question wouldn’t even exist right?
Could anyone be… anyone?
Seriously though…
Loopop, a Youtube synth gear reviewer/synthfluencer with a few tricks up its sleeves that earns a few bucks thanks to the ad you just skipped did NOT send himself to me for review. Able to learn and explain gear like nobody else, his very thorough and well-articulated reviews are easily recognizable: menu on the left side of the video and oscilloscope overlay.
ok so let’s talk about pros and cons. I like to seperate these into hardware, meaning things that won’t change and firmware, meaning things that might change.
On the firmware cons side, the limited number of voices (only one so monophonic) available could be a problem for some. A faster speech LFO could help in reducing the length of the videos. I guess the pros are the sound coming out of the vibrating membrane between his nose and chin (do we really need more voices when it sounds that good?) and the very well articulated speech.
On the hardware cons side, it would be nice if the hands could manipulate knobs from a distance with telekinesis. I guess it would require some sort of Bluetooth integration (Didn’t try to open the Loopop to see if the PCB hides a Bluetooth chip). Perhaps for a mk2. Pros are sexy hands.
Related items: DivKid, Stimming, Tinez. YMMV.
You can learn more about the Loopop in my ever expanding book about synthfluencers exclusively available to my patreons.

Thanks for reading.
Amazing how I heard his voice in my head at the end of your post.
^^ That’s meta. ^^
You say knee jerk reaction. I say mirror.
If you don’t like the way the mirror looks, only you can change that.
Bad Gear is the only GAScast i can watch from front to end.
Loopop is actually a pretty decent tuber, by current standards.
But reading the manual is usually quicker for me, and I get the same amount of info.
Well I usually feel like I know what I’m looking for so I’m quite happy to be shown what a thing does and then draw my own conclusions. I don’t feel like I to be told much by YouTube guys. So with that being said, loopop is the man.
Id rather not have you as an assistant holding a mirror up for me. Swivel the mirror dude.🥹

“He needs to make his hands all CGI like Ylva, but instead of fireworks or whatever they’re like, you know, transparent * mind-blown emoji *”
“Yo all this LFO talk about LFO talk is boring. Imma make 100 more Volca jam videos.”
“That Loopop half-laugh hesitation thing he does… OMG. I can’t even.”
Will do.
I see a human being unwilling to allow the disparaging of the hard work of another creative. Especially not by someone who really has no desire in the answer to the provocative “ questions” they propose.
You can call me a clown all you want. I’ll take your direct abuses. But I won’t allow you to abuse others with your drivel. I care too much about other people who only trying to help others.
I take on bullies. What do you do?
Just look at the responses you’ve received in this thread. Hardly anyone agrees with you. Ask yourself why. Try some self awareness.
