Copying Flex Machines to Static Machines Easily?

Hello all,

A relatively simple workflow issue: how do I copy the settings of a flex machine to a static machine? When I use the track copy function, it reverts my static machine back to a flex machine. Copying and pasting individual setup pages is clunky and tedious. Am I missing something? Thanks!

You can copy Flex track, paste to Static Track, revert to Static. All pages parameters except Playback page are copied.

If I’m not mistaken, after you did that you could then copy the playback page parameters from the original flex track to the new static track, too, and not have to manually set anything.

Except I’m pretty sure copying a parameter page doesn’t copy the associated setup page (or at least, I’ve had trouble copying arp pages because any custom pattern I had didn’t get copied with the rest of the parameters - could be unique to the arpeggiator or a mistake I made, I only tried it once or twice).

Parameter page copy includes setup, arp has its own copy operation…

Cool, I thought I tried that but I didn’t really try much because I was in the middle of working on a project and it was faster to just do it manually than to figure it out, so obviously I missed something.

I checked once to make sure you don’t have to go into the setup page to make sure it’s copied, you can just copy from main and it grabs both. Arp and designer lfo’s have their own copy, I have not verified whether they’re also copied from edit page, but from what your saying and what I remember I think they’re not and you have to do it separate…

I’m just about 100% sure that’s right about arp and LFO pages, but I also distinctly remember trying to copy the arp setup page directly and not having anything happen at all. But I’ll check again later this afternoon, because I could easily be wrong (and probably/hopefully am).

I confirm, Arp pattern has a special copy function in Midi Arp setup (Fn+Copy).
With Copy Page, the Arp Setup settings are copied, not the Arp pattern.
Same for Lfo Designer, not copied, a special copy function.

I don’t remember for sure since I really did just try it quickly a couple of times in the middle of working on something else a few weeks ago, but I think I was still trying to do a page copy from the ARP setup, not a function copy, and of course that didn’t work because it would switch back to the main page as soon as you hit the page button.

Thank you!
