Copy/paste pattern?

How do i copy and paste for example page 2:4 to all the other pages?

The manual is like always, not helpful.

" To perform a pattern copy operation, GRID RECORDING mode must not be active. Copy the pattern by pressing [FUNCTION] + [REC]. Select another pattern and paste the copied pattern to this location by pressing [FUNCTION] + [STOP]."

If not recording is activated you can not select pages, at least i dont know how. if i go out of recording and copy it does say it copied a pattern (no idea which page), i tried pasting by de-selecting Rec on all pages and then paste but it really didnt do anything… it said it pasted it but i bet it pasted it onto the same page or something.

And yes i did search here, but i can’t say those tutorials where helpful… i just managed to delete my song or switch to a new or something. Any help with copy/paste would be great, thanks.

With grid recording active, use page button to select desired page, then hold page button and press copy. Now you can hold page button and press paste onto whichever pages you like :wink:

I dont remember where I found it in the manual, but…

make sure Rec is lit and that you are on the (pattern) page you want to copy.
Hold down page and press copy/rec.
Cycle to the (pattern) page you want to paste it into,
then simply hold down Page and press Paste/stop.
