Copy mix + sound settings of all tracks to other patterns? (Digitone + Digitakt 2)

Hey,
I’ve reworked my mix on Pattern 1 (levels, pan, FX, etc.) and I’d like to copy all mix & sound settings of all tracks to my other patterns, but without copying the sequences.
Is there any way to do that all at once?

Cheers!

You can copy tracks in track selection view normally holding track trig, func, copy (so without grid recording enabled - if it is enabled it copies the sequence). You need to copy FX settings separately. Might just try it out before commiting (at least save the project just in case).

Thanks a lot!
I was already doing that too, but I was wondering if I’d missed a feature that lets you copy all tracks settings at once and paste them to other patterns.
It just feels a bit tedious having to copy/paste each page of parameters one by one every time I want to tweak the mix.

Yeah, no such option AFAIK. It is tedious. I tend to stay on one pattern as long as possible, making it sound good and dialing all the modulation, so I don’t have to copy the settings afterwards.

You could copy the whole pattern, and reload the sequence via the PATTERN Menu from the last saved state, no? Just save the project before you paste the pattern. And reload the sequence afterwards.

Or you could use the KIT Option. Save your KIT on Pattern 1 and load it onto your new pattern. The old sequence should stay the same.

You should be able to copy the sound of a track by holding the Track button (or in combination with the Track button and number trig) and then Copy (i.e. REC)

This copies the current non-sequence settings of that track and it can be pasted to the next track

The sequence itself is done whilst within grid rec and doing this with Func+copy as y’all know

You can also copy everything from one pattern to another empty temp one and maybe copy sequence info into the new temp one and then move the whole thing into the desired slot

This track settings copy is easier on DN1, A4 etc as the track selection is direct … it’s super quick to replicate changes on one track to others

I’ll try the first method — it seems faster, and I also want to copy my FX sends and track levels, so option 1 looks like the easiest way to do it.
Thanks a lot, I hadn’t thought of that!

If I struggle with the reload method from AM, I’ll probably do it with an empty pattern instead — that sounds like a solid backup plan. Really appreciate the tips!

Still, it would be great if Elektron added a “Copy All Settings” function someday, so we wouldn’t have to use all these workarounds.

oh yeah, i see you mean across patterns now, not within - so alas there’s no way of doing these kinds of ‘grouped’ multi-track actions, even on such simple things as nudging ALL the tracks of an AR pattern left or right, you need to get down into a track level and it’s tedious

so, agreed, to copy all the tracks’ settings in one go without resorting to kit notions would be useful, just as it would also be good if sequence data could be copied en-masse … especially for devices with more than 4 tracks

These would be great QOL feature requests and tbh, eminently doable with just a bit of inspitration on how to make a neat UI for it

If the DT2 ‘kits’ or ‘perform kit’ don’t lead to a solution, then there’s still this hack that applies to all digi format boxes. (It’s a more detailed version of @AM’s suggestion I think)

Thanks a lot! The video makes it so much clearer — I never would’ve thought of doing that, but it really seems like the best solution. You just saved me hours of copy-pasting, haha.
