One in French.

Apart from it always being nice to have a small physical host for various convolutions, some interesting touches:

  • 3.5mm combo jack for both midi and expression. We’re continuing to squeeze more and more into smaller and smaller ports.
  • Really worried about having a 3.5mm jack sticking out just below the stomp switch, though. Probably want a right-angle jack.
  • Also has MIDI thru! Also 3.5mm, but unexpected nice touch.
  • Powered by 9v barrel or USB-C. Awesome option for desktop use.
  • Ability to analyze and capture IRs in a small stand-alone unit is pretty cool. And with a dedicated button,
  • I like the idea of an algorithmic reverb at the end of an IR to smooth or lush things out. Also clever way to implement freeze.
  • Managing both reverbs could be a pain in such a small stomp, but the LED rings (orange for IR, blue for algo) are a clever solution.

Also, the pedal uses 1 Amp.

I’m not overwhelmed by the demo video, but I can really never tell with a reverb until I hear it in person, or at least in context.

I have a Hotone mini amp head, which I sometimes use for line-in recording with guitar, and it sounds surprisingly decent and is very well-built for something so small, so I can’t immediately dismiss that this has potential.

My first pedal was well-known Zoom CDR and after it I was really surprised that only rare devices can work on batteries…(like older Korgs pandora)

The video is the worst. Everything about their marketing feels like it was made by AI. Maybe that’s the vibe these days? But definitely doesn’t float my boat.

I disagree… I don’t know about the pedal… I also spent my reverb money on the Akai plug ins, but I want to ride on that space ship!! It was wild man…

Is it pronounced ho- tone? Cool name I guess…
It does sound great, I bet it could get you some drunk ho’s for sure…

real nice playing, but as it’s a convolution reverb, prob should have recorded it in stereo :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Interesting. I’m surprised how much I’ve liked some of their stuff. A friend of mine has one of the tiny amp heads and it’s good. I have a few of those micro pedals and I love them. I believe that they can do something like this well, though I’m holding off whether I think they have.
Also, in my head it’s “ho-tone” even though I assume it’s supposed to be “hot-one”, just can’t shake it.

Hot tone. The t plays double.

Is this the cheapest pedal now that can load reverb IRs? I wish someone would make something simpler and cheaper. I just want to be able to load my favorite spring and plate IRs into a pedal to use in mono with no knobs necessary other than wet/dry and maybe a simple tilt eq.

The screen and led rings and all of that just seem so unnecessary. The point of convolution imo is that I want to use a spring or a real room or something that sounds realistic but has no parameters to adjust, you just slap it on and it works.

Minijacks on the front of a pedal seems absolutely ridiculous.

Seriously beautiful.

@Tchu Would you consider changing this topic into a general thread on convolution reverb pedals?

We have 4 contenders at the moment as far as I can see:
