Hi guys, was wondering if the polyend play+ can do the following? Considering getting one to add to my sound pallette.
-
Does it have 8 voices total between drums and synths? Or is it 8 drum voices + 8 synth voices?
-
I know there’s no proper internal resampling but I know there is stem export. I was wondering if it’s possible to export a sample of the summed output of just two tracks if I want to “resample” a layered sound and load it into a sampler? Can I “resample” a layered drum sound for example that’s made using the percussion synth layered with a sample?
-
Is the amp envelope really just an AD envelope? Or do the synths have an internal adsr amp control separate from that?
-
How in depth is the parameter editing possiblity when making your own patches? Are they pretty in depth synths? Would you say they are more complex or less complex than digitone 2’s FM tone machine?
-
How good is the percussion synth? Do you find yourself actually using it without swapping the kick or hats for samples?
-
Overall for sound design is it at least equivilant to DN2 in terms of depth? Or does it offer more editing possibilities?
-
are there parameter slides on locks?
-
are there sound locks? (Different sample on each step for the sampler). What about a different synth machine per step?
-
Are all synth parameters available to be trig locked? Or only whatever parameters are mapped to the knobs?
-
For the USB muktitrack audio streaming, how does it work? Is it a separate pair of channels for each track? Or does it require some overbridge like plugin? I ask because I’d like to be able to route the audio to an ipad daw. any latency issues? And can the audio be routed back into the play+ via usb without feedback?
-
is there any reason to want this over the DN2 that I already have? What about compared to a polyend synth?
-
maximum steps per pattern. If its only 64 is it easy enough to bind the chaining of two patterns so they always play in succession (if I have an 8 bar pad loop for example).

Is there really only one LFO per track? Are they as editable as elektron LFOs? Do you find this to be a limitation?
