The “problem” I see with the Dutch “Van”, as a Spanish speaker, is that you pronounce the V like an F.
You can maybe swap the V for an F and no more Van Buuren in people´s head.

It’s actually really good! So Techno! You could change it a bit, like Van Doren, or Dieter Van Dor or something like that.
Rather raw and dark techno. Gritty and often off rhythm.

I was just listening to the first one in the hard techno thread.
Sorry I thought you were Dutch, anyway the pronuciation I think is the same.
Belgian, living in the Netherlands. My last name is very Dutch though, but spelled in a funny way. Normal is Van Doorn.
first thing that came to my mind, mostly because it sounds like dieter but more fucked up.

but using part of ur truu name roots is not a bad idea if u got this dutch “van…” option…
can’t spoil here, but i also run one of my projects that uses this phrase as a part of the brand…
i totally agree, that"dtr" does’nt do the trick…
just rolling the dice here…d van dither…dither d…doomsdaydither…or even dooms day dithering…that would open the option to shorten it, when people talk…three d…3d…if spelled differently, but uses a very very common phrase, can drop a lot…ah, see, dropped a lot…also not bad…

but take ur time and choose wisely…a brand might stick with u for a pretty long time…while no brand feels always that right over a longer period of time…this thing has also it’s up’s and down’s in the flow of zeitgeist…
…that said…never go for fancy zeitgeist…go for most timeless as possible…we’re in year 31 after techno…
