Connection clock to Behringer Crave

Heey elektronauts!

so since a week i’m the happy owner of a Behringer Crave. After some jamming and trying a I wanted to set it up together with my Elektron Analog Rytm mk1.

I want to use my Analog Rytm as the master clock. So send the clock to the crave and to the my microKorg.

I have the Sync A connected to the crave and the Sync B to my micro korg.

in my analog rytm the sync > clock send is on
under port > out put port function is set to midi , under port> output to is set to midi.

my microkorg is synced but my crave isnt, and i cant really find anything online how to set it up

somebody els maybe know a way ?

I am using midi and it works. It sounds as if you try a different way?

Welcome to the forum!

You appear to have your AR set up correctly to send MIDI clock to the Crave. You might want to activate TRANSPORT SEND in the SETTINGS > MIDI > SYNC menu if you haven’t already done so.

The Crave’s manual is sparse but it does indicate that the Crave should respond to MIDI clock messages. I saw that it has a Tempo Input setting (see page 41 of the Quick Start Guide) with three different modes: it could be that you need to adjust that.

Also:

  • does the Crave’s sequencer work for you without receiving timing information from another instrument?
  • is your MIDI cable OK? You could try another cable to check.
